Jenius Partners with Zurich to Introduce Zurich Travel Guard and Zurich Visa Protection to Ensure a Safe and Comfortable Holiday Experience

Jakarta, 11 December 2025 – Jenius, the pioneering digital banking platform from PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (“SMBC Indonesia”), introduces its latest travel protection products, Zurich Travel Guard and Zurich Visa Protection2, now available through the Jenius app powered by Zurich Edge Platform. This new protection product is designed to provide peace of mind for Indonesia’s digitally savvy community when planning their trips, from the visa application process to unexpected situations during travel. With this added convenience, users can focus on enjoying their precious moments while Jenius continues to be a trusted partner in supporting their financial needs.

Through a collaboration with PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk (Zurich), Jenius now offers two types of travel protection tailored to different needs. Zurich Travel Guard provides comprehensive coverage for various situations during a trip, including compensation for flight delays, delayed baggage, lost items, as well as overseas medical and emergency protection of up to IDR 1.5 billion, in accordance with policy terms. Meanwhile, Zurich Visa Protection ensures peace of mind from the very start of travel preparations, offering coverage for international visa application fees of up to IDR 5 million, with premiums starting from around IDR 200,000. Both options are flexible and can be purchased for yourself, your family, or others.

“Our collaboration with Jenius is a strategic step for Zurich to expand access to simple, relevant, and easily accessible travel protection for digitally savvy customers. With the growing interest in international travel, we want to ensure that Teman Jenius can enjoy their journeys with safe and peace of mind, from the visa application process to their return home,” said Ken Sukasah, Head of Partnership & Business Development of Zurich.

“Unexpected situations can happen anywhere, especially when traveling. That’s why Jenius introduces travel protection from Zurich to give peace of mind to Jenius users, so they can enjoy every holiday moment without worry. The entire process can be done seamlessly within the Jenius app, from selecting coverage, purchasing, to monitoring policies—making travel safer and more convenient,” said Febri Rusli, Digital Banking Product & Innovation Head at SMBC Indonesia.

Designed as a part of Zurich Edge digital proposition and powered by Zurich Edge Platform, the integration between Zurich and Jenius is built on an API-based system that enables both parties to connect directly and securely. Through this platform, processes such as product information checks, premium calculations, and policy issuance are automated within the Jenius app, eliminating the need to switch to other channels. With a streamlined flow and faster response times, the Zurich Edge Platform ensures a seamless, faster, and more convenient insurance experience for all Teman Jenius.

Zurich Travel Guard and Zurich Visa Protection can be accessed directly through the Jenius app with a simple process, no need to meet an agent or prepare extensive documents. Users can simply go to Assets > Insurance, then select Travel Guard or Visa Protection under the Zurich Travel Protection menu according to their needs.

“This product launch is part of Jenius’ commitment as a life finance solution to continuously deliver relevant innovations for Jenius users. The introduction of Travel Protection complements the range of insurance and investment products already available on Jenius, accompanying every step of our users’ journeys around the world,” Febri Rusli concluded.
