Jenius by SMBC Indonesia Launches “Lari Lebih Berarti,” Encouraging Runners to Find Greater Meaning Beyond the Finish Line
Bandung, 19 September 2026 – Jenius by SMBC Indonesia once again serves as the co-title sponsor of POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2026. This year, Jenius by SMBC Indonesia is collaborating with Make-A-Wish® Indonesia to present the “Lari Lebih Berarti” program. The program encourages runners to find greater meaning in their running journey beyond reaching the finish line, by sharing the joy they feel after completing the race and helping make the wishes of children with critical illnesses come true.
Retail Banking Digital Platform & Innovation Head of SMBC Indonesia, Febri Rusli, explained the idea behind the Lari Lebih Berarti program. “We want to encourage runners to create greater meaning not only for themselves, but also for the people around them. Through Lari Lebih Berarti, for every runner who completes the offline POCARI SWEAT Run races in Lombok and Bandung, Jenius by SMBC Indonesia will contribute to helping make the wishes of children with critical illnesses come true,” said Febri.
According to data from Make-A-Wish® Indonesia, having a wish come true can increase the will to live among children with critical illnesses by up to 92%. This is the spirit that Lari Lebih Berarti also aims to bring—providing strength and encouragement to children with critical illnesses as they navigate their lives and treatment journeys.
“For Make-A-Wish® Indonesia, making wishes come true is not only about bringing happiness, but also about giving strength and meaningful moments to children with critical illnesses and their families. Our collaboration with Jenius by SMBC Indonesia through POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2026 is an opportunity to bring this spirit even further. Every step taken by the runners becomes part of a journey to bring hope, strength, and happiness to children and their families,” said Miranti Hadisusilo, Founder & Chief Marketing Communication of Make-A-Wish® Indonesia.

The Lari Lebih Berarti journey began at POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2026 last July. A total of 9,200 runners successfully crossed the finish line and became part of the movement. The program continues at POCARI SWEAT Run Bandung 2026, where all offline race participants can take part.
Runners can also enjoy a variety of activities during the Race Pack Collection, held from 17–19 September 2026 at Kiara Artha Park, Bandung. Visitors can take part in various interactive activities at the Jenius by SMBC Indonesia Area, including writing wishes forthemselves and children with critical illnesses on Wish Cards, which will be displayed on the Wish Tree. They can also capture their moments at the photobooth and take part in the Jenius by SMBC Indonesia Auction, featuring various items such as Asics running shoes and tickets to Andrea Bocelli — Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour in Jakarta.
Visitors can also learn more about Daya, SMBC Indonesia’s sustainable empowerment program, which focuses on four key pillars: personal capacity building, financial literacy, business growth, and sustainable living. Through this approach, Jenius by SMBC Indonesia is not only present as a sponsor, but also as part of an ecosystem that encourages positive change in society.
Since 2023, Jenius by SMBC Indonesia has also consistently accompanied runners through a series of #LariBarengJenius activities in collaboration with POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia. The program combines 5K group runs, talk shows, and financial literacy sessions, and has been held in 15 cities with more than 1,200 participants.
Supporting Runners on Their Financial Journey
Jenius by SMBC Indonesia sees a connection between running and managing finances, as both require consistency and discipline to achieve goals. Febri added that running also comes with various financial needs, from preparing race gear and registration fees to transportation and accommodation, particularly for runners participating in races domestically or overseas.
“We want to be a friend to runners as they prepare for these needs, from saving for a race and making transactions during their journey to managing their financial needs at their destination,” said Febri.
To help runners prepare their race funds, Jenius by SMBC Indonesia offers Dream Saver and Flexi Saver, savings features that can be managed directly through the app. Dream Saver allows users to set a savings target and arrange automatic deposits based on their needs, while Flexi Saver provides the flexibility to save and withdraw funds at any time without penalties.
For runners participating in races overseas, the Foreign Currency feature offers 12 currencies that can be purchased, stored, and used directly for transactions through the Jenius by SMBC Indonesia app. The feature is available 24/7, offers competitive exchange rates, and can be linked to the Jenius Debit Card (m-Card) for overseas transactions and cash withdrawals, as well as online transactions.
Meanwhile, other everyday transactions can be made using the Jenius Debit Card, Jenius Credit Card, Jenius Pay, and QRIS Scan through the Jenius app. Jenius Debit and Credit Cards with Visa networks can be used for both online and offline transactions. For greater convenience when transacting overseas, Teman Jenius can also scan QRIS through theJenius app, which is connected to QRIS Cross-Border in Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. For convenient online shopping on marketplaces, Teman Jenius can also use Jenius Pay.
