Jenius Pay, a Jenius Collaboration for Simple, Smart, and Safe Online Transactions
Jakarta, 3 December 2020 - Jenius, a life finance solution from Bank BTPN, re-introduces Jenius Pay as an online transaction option using $Cashtag (a unique identity to replace account numbers for Jenius users) at various partner merchants.
After being introduced in 2017, Jenius Pay is now available at more than 29 merchants to help digital-savvy people transact online in a new, simple, smart, and safe way. This collaboration also supports the digital economy ecosystem and online & cashless transactions.

The usage of Jenius Pay has increased during the pandemic and working from home conditions. The nominal amount of Jenius Pay transactions increased by 401% and transaction volume rose 212% in October 2020 from levels in March 2020. The increase in digital transactions during the pandemic was also captured in the Jenius Study: Behavior Digital Savvy During the Adaptation Period for New Habits conducted in May 2020 to 267 respondents aged 16 - 40. This study indicates that digital/mobile banking was the most preferred banking channel during the new adaptation period (79%).
Representatives from three Jenius partners, namely JD.ID, Kitabisa.com, and Kopi Kenangan, were also present during the occasion to share their stories of collaboration with Jenius through Jenius Pay.

This pandemic has changed the way the world does business, including the way customers buy consumer goods. Making digital payments is one of the ways that customers choose to reduce physical contact and make transactions safely. "In fact, 70% of transactions in Kopi Kenangan are digital or cashless," said Marsela Limesa, VP of Product & Growth of Kopi Kenangan. "That's why we welcome the collaboration with Jenius Pay. The presence of Jenius Pay on the Kopi Kenangan application is a form of our commitment to providing more service for every customer by adding new types of digital platforms that they can choose from when making payments on our application," said Marsela.
Abraham Luhska Harahap, Head of Partnership and Alliance & Head of Digital Category JD.ID said: "Our data shows that JD.ID's weekly sales has increased by 50% on average since the beginning of the pandemic in Indonesia in March 2020 when compared to figures booked during the pre-pandemic era in the same year (2020). JD.ID also recorded a series of sales increases during the year-end shopping festival, HARJOYNAS, starting from 9.9, to 10.10, to 11.11, compared to those in the same period a year earlier. The number of orders climbed up as high as 60% on 9-11 November 2020 (the HARJOYNAS 11.11period). Groceries & Health Care was one of the categories with the most sold products. "

Jenius Pay allows users to transact online without the need to use a debit /card credit, e-Wallet, or bank transfer. Unlike other Jenius features, users can find the Jenius Pay feature when choosing a payment method available on the checkout page on websites/applications of merchants that collaborate with Jenius. Users can do online transactions with Jenius Pay in three easy steps: Select Jenius Pay as the payment method on a merchant's checkout page, enter the user's $Cashtag, and confirm payment on the Jenius app.
Users can choose Jenius Pay as a payment method at various merchants to shop online, to buy coffee, to buy vegetables, to top up phone credit/mobile data packages, to donate, and to invest in gold.
Besides on JD.ID, Kopi Kenangan, and Kitabisa.com, Jenius Pay is also available on Tokopedia, Blibli.com, Lemonilo, Sayurbox, Fore, Doku, Twenty Milli Coffee Roastery, UniPin, Tamasia, E-mas, Treasury, Lakuemas, Pluang, MyHartono, Interskill, Al Hamidiyah, Ciputra Life, Lifepal, Dinomarket, What to Learn, Dompet Dhuafa, Send Email, SoftPro, Siapbos, and many more.
